The Intensive/Integrated Preschool Classroom: In this model, classes offer a longer day for students with significant developmental, social and communication challenges. These classes offer inclusion for part of the school day, as well as a self contained portion of the day, where students work on individual skills based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles in a 1:1 or small group setting. These classrooms have a higher student- teacher ratio. Home service training may be provided for families as determined by the student’s special education team.
