Principal's Message

Welcome to a new school year!  Our Beverly Preschool Program is entering its second year at the McKeown School on Balch Street.

 Some dates to remember:

  • School starts for preschool on Tuesday, September 5th.  The Intensive and Intensive/Integrated Classrooms are in session Monday through Friday from 8:15-1:15.  Peers attend from 10:15-1:15.  The students will have a dedicated snack and lunch time each day.  You may choose to pack your child’s lunch or purchase your child’s lunch.  Please visit our website at www.beverlyschools.org for more information on our lunch program.  The Integrated Classrooms are in session Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday.  The AM session runs from 8:15-11:00am.  The PM session runs from 11:55am-2:30pm. The Integrated Classrooms have a dedicated snack time each day.
  • Our Preschool program is peanut/nut aware.  Please refrain from packing nut products for snacks and lunch.
  • Preschool orientations are scheduled for Thursday, August 31st.   Orientation for our Intensive Classroom and Intensive/Integrated Classrooms is from 9:00am-9:45am.  Orientation for our AM Integrated Sessions is from 10:15am -11:00am and 11:30am-12:15pm for the PM Integrated Sessions.  This is a great opportunity for you and your child to visit his/her classroom and also see our new location.

Please remember that all paperwork needs to be completed and submitted prior to your child starting on the first day.  This includes clearance from the nurse that all physical and immunization documentation has been submitted.  If your child has specific medical needs, please make sure you have been in contact with our school nurse, Teryl Kessler at 978-921-6100, extension 22201.

We were very fortunate to have a few volunteers help organize a Preschool PTO last year.  We need your help to grow our PTO, support fundraising, and provide enrichment opportunities to our preschool students.  If you are interested in supporting our teachers and students by volunteering for our PTO, please let your child’s teacher know.

We look forward to an exciting year filled with great learning experiences for your child.  Please do not hesitate to contact my office should you have any questions.

Respectfully,
Bethany Splansky, Interim Administrator of Special Education and PPS
